ZANOVIA HAWRYLYSHEN January 24, 1930 - April 22, 2010 Peacefully on the evening of April 22, 2010, Zanovia passed away at St. Boniface General Hospital with her family at her side. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her dear companion Walter Misko and her children: Shirley (Jim) Dudzinski, Beverley (Robert) Lecuyer, Rose Marie (Harvey) Klippenstein, Daniel (Ida) Hawrylyshen and Deborah (Jose) DaSilva. In addition, left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren: Shannon, Toby, Michelle, Stacie, Scott, Tyler, Lindsay, Allison, Nyle, Wade, Clayton, David, Nikki as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Zanovia was born in Ozerna, Manitoba, and raised in the Sandy Lake region. She was predeceased by her late husband Dymtro Hawrylyshen and siblings: John, Metro, Anne, Steve, Harry and Nick. She is survived by her two sisters Mary Felawka and Kay Christie. Zanovia's favourite past times were planting flowers, playing bingo, making traditional Ukrainian dishes, travelling and especially spending quality time with her family. She was a gentle, kind and loving person and we will never forget her most beautiful smile. Never to be forgotten and always in our hearts. The family would like to thank the staff on 6E medicine at St. Boniface General Hospital for their care and compassion. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Ukrainian Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, 1175 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba with Very Reverend Archpriest Gregory Mielnik officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Zanovia's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. To love a Mom and then to part, is the greatest trial to the human heart. Years of striving, little of play, loving, giving, the whole of the way. A cherished smile, a heart of gold, to the dearest Mother the world could hold. Happy memories, fond and true, from us who thought the world of you. Beautiful memories are treasures ever, of happy days when we were together. With aching hearts we whisper low, God Bless you Mother, we'll miss you so. Father in Heaven hear our prayer, guard our Mother with tender care. Be a good Shepherd, don't leave her alone, Love her as we loved her when she was here at home. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
