Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I was raised particularly by my baba, I owe my sewing and my embroidery skills to her. I learned how to cook, can and make preserves and clean properly. She showed me how to garden. I can remember getting off the school bus and my baba would have homemade jelly doughnuts freshly made ready with true homemade cocoa. I can remember her picking up a kitten and rubbing it on my face, and smiling while she was doing it. It’s been 15 years and every pot of borscht I make I can still hear her tell me how to make it. When I make cabbages rolls I can remember being young and me helping her to roll them. I owe everything good in me to her. I miss you. - Posted by: Wood (Granddaughter) on: Jul 23, 2025
