Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARVEY ANDERSON October 18, 1926 - April 24, 2010 On April 24, 2010 Harvey passed away at Neepawa Health Centre. His family was with him throughout his hospital ordeal. He fought a long and brave battle with cancer in which he struggled to maintain his independence. He was predeceased by his beloved children Leanne (1986) and Ricky (2007); his brothers Gordon and Arnold. Harvey is survived by Vi, his wife of 55 years; sons Rod (Tanya), David (Darla) and special niece Margaret; grandchildren Veronica (Robert), Jaime, Nikki, Clay, and Mandy; three great-grandchildren Jayden, Mason and Zach Chapman; many nieces and nephews; his sister Lorraine (Gordon), brother Roy (Rose); sisters-in-law Grace and Vi. Harvey was born October 18, 1926 in the Steele Bridge area. He farmed in Steele Bridge for a number of years; he then owned road construction equipment, building many roads, a large number being in the Lakeview Municipality. In later years he went into real estate at which he was very successful. Harvey and Vi enjoyed travelling. On their trip to Iceland he found letters his great-grandfather had written from Canada back to Iceland. In Iceland he met several of his second cousins and was hospitably entertained in their homes. Harvey was an avid hunter, adept marksman. In later years he enjoyed his friends at the Drop In where he played crib, 500, and bridge; bridge being his favourite. His sense of humour and quick wit will be missed by all who loved him dearly. A Celebration of Harvey's Life will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Gladstone United Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Gladstone Cemetery.
