BONNIE MILLER (nee MACDONALD) It is with deep sadness our family announces the passing of our sister and aunt, Bonnie Miller, at the age of 65, on April 23, 2010. Bonnie was born and raised in Winnipeg and lived here until she moved to Sandy Hook, Manitoba in 1999. Bonnie was predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Gladys MacDonald, infant sister Donna, and husband Norman Strand. Bonnie leaves to mourn her sisters Beth (Helge), and Brenda (Rick), several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, one great-great-niece, and a host of family and friends. Bonnie worked for the Manitoba Teachers Society for over 35 years until she retired several years ago. Before then, she worked several jobs including several years for the Manitoba Telephone System. Bonnie always loved being outdoors. On a hot sunny day, Bonnie could always be found outside working on her tan. She was a member of a bowling league with her husband and other family members for numerous years and loved to play golf. Bonnie lost her leg due to her illnesses a few years ago and since then she has been spending her time with family and close friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
