Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS DIANE DELMAGE (nee MENARD) April 21, 1959 - April 20, 2010 It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Doris Delmage on April 20, 2010 at the age of 50, followed by the passing of her mother Irene Menard on April 21, 2010. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her husband Mickey (Mike) of 25 years; their dog Zeena, her siblings, Maurice, Claire (Len), Louise (Gerry), Gilbert, Gerald (Shaunna); her nieces and nephews, Michael, Jenny, Kimberley, Melissa, Ryan, Matthew, Jordan, Brennan plus numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Mederic Menard in December 2009. Doris will also be fondly remembered by her mother-in-law Doreen, father-in-law Bert Delmage, brother-in-law Mark (fiancée Sharron), sister-in-law Heather (Bela), and niece Olivia. Also mourning her loss are Mick's aunts Shirley, Marg, cousins Barb (Domingos) and Colleen. Doris was born in Winnipeg, MB but grew up in St. Francois Xavier, MB. She graduated from St. Paul's Collegiate in Elie, MB. She later received a certificate in Financial Accounting from Red River Community College. In 1981 she moved to Edmonton to be with her future husband Mickey. She spent over 20 years working for the Government of Alberta in Apprenticeship and Industry Training. Doris spent the last four years working at Flowers in the Park in Sherwood Park where she enjoyed arranging flowers for different occasions. Doris was a very caring and creative individual. She enjoyed working with seniors and volunteered at a personal care home in Sherwood Park as well as with (S.A.G.E.) Seniors Association of Greater Edmonton. Her creative talents shone in many different ways such as knitting, embroidery, clay fired pottery, sewing, furniture restoration, creating willow furniture, scrapbooking and most recently photography. Doris loved to travel and she and her husband travelled across Canada and most of the United States, the Caribbean, Cuba, South East Asia and Mexico. Her fondest memories were the annual trips in the orange VW van to Lucerne campground on Yellowhead Lake to meet with many friends and family members throughout the years. She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. A Celebration of the Life of Doris Delmage will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd., Sherwood Park, AB.
