KEVIN DERRY ALMAZAN ALINDAYU It is with great sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our son, Kevin Derry Almazan Alindayu, who left us on Thursday, April 22, 2010. He was predeceased by his grandfather Papang Marcelino Estrada Almazan in 1996. Kevin Derry leaves to mourn his loving parents Romy and Liza, and only brother, Karl (girlfriend Mich); grandmother mamang , Conchita Almazan; uncle Joel (Minda) Almazan, cousin Cliff (Olivia) Almazan, children Nicole, Noah, Natasha, Naomi; grandparents Alejandro Sr. and Rita Alindayu (Los Angeles, CA); uncle Alejandro Jr. and children; auntie Helen (Ruben) Villapana; children, Mark Jason, Kevin Christian, Katrina, Richard, Nepthalie (Cristy) daughter Ayessa; uncle Angelito (Joceline) Alindayu; children, JD, Jelo, Jeo; uncle Ernesto (Lerna) Alindayu; children Phillip, Andrew, Earlnest; auntie Vilma (Danilo) Pascual (Los Angeles, CA); children Allan, Karl, Mark, DJ; auntie Visitation (Dick) Arias; daughter Maria; uncle Rodolpo (Maribel) Alindayu (Philippines); auntie Carmen Schultz; children Gerry (May), Ronnie (Daphne) children Kristina and Kristopher; auntie Eden Almazan; cousin, Lidivette Caramat, daughter Kalea; uncle Marvin and Lucre de Guzman; children Trishia and Camille; Auntie Mila (Michael) son Keith, Auntie Sally (Reynolds) children Alley, Maria, RJ, Joshua; uncle Lando (Sylvia) children Issah, John P, Kim. Also numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins in the Philippines and U.S.A. And last but not least his endless friends, classmates and especially his co-members of K.P.P.A. Kevin was born in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, Philippines on September 30, 1983. Kevin, along with his family later immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 11, 1989. Kevin attended Victoria Albert Elementary School, graduated Valedictorian from Hugh John McDonald Junior High, and then later attended Kelvin High School, where he accelerated his academics in the advanced IB Programs. Shortly after high school, Kevin pursued and challenged the Computer Analyst Program with honours at Red River Community College. Kevin's sheer determination and acceleration in his academics, led Kevin to think bigger and greater in his endeavors, and later to pursue a future career in the medical field. Kevin was an active member in Folklorama. He was the Youth Male Ambassador in 2001 for the Nayong Pilipino Pavillion under the Kayumanngi Philippine Performing Arts of the Philippine Association of Manitoba. An active member from 1999 to 2008; Kevin also performed in many places around North America, such as Nova Scotia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Minneapolis, Chicago and within the province of Manitoba. For the last four years, Kevin was passionate about the youth automotive subculture and with his exuberance; he was hired as the Street Team Director for the nationally touring car shows Sport Compact Nights and Driven to Perform. Kevin led a young team of people to recruit cars and to help promote the local car show scene, his dedication and leadership were characteristics that helped him excel at this position. Kevin, you will be greatly missed by your family and friends. You are now in the hands of the Lord, who will guide you and protect you in his Kingdom. We all love you and miss you very much, Kevin, until we meet again!
