Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVENISE HUTLET 1930 - 2010 Venise Hutlet (nee Van Walleghem) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Misericordia Place where she had resided since October 2006. Left to mourn are her children, Carole (Andre) Hamel and their children Dale and Amanda of Winnipeg, Roger (Rose) Hutlet and their children Karlen and Adam of St. Albert, Alberta and Joanne (Darren) Leclair and their children Bianca, Ross, Dylan and Eric of Calgary, Alberta. Venise is survived by her siblings Camille Van Walleghem, Lorraine (Ted) Jerome, Julie (Jerry) Mueller, Beatrice Vouriot, Donald (Denise) Van Walleghem and Florence Tomicki. Her in-laws: Lou and Rita Hutlet, Gerry Vandamme, Marge Hutlet, Irene and Alec Grenier, Isabelle and Romeo Choquette, Robert and Jean Hutlet; plus numerous nephews and nieces. Venise was predeceased by her husband Marcel in 1987, her daughter Marilyn in 1993, by her parents Walter and Marie Van Walleghem, parents-in-law Victor and Jeanne Hutlet, brothers-in-law Edward Hutlet and Walter Vandamme and sisters-in-law Simone Vandamme and Alice Vandamme. Venise was born December 3, 1930 and raised near Iles Des Chenes, attended school at St. Mary's Academy in Winnipeg and practiced nursing at the Misericordia Hospital. She married Marcel in 1954 and together they raised their four children in Windsor Park where they spent most of their adult lives. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at the Misericordia Place for making Mom as comfortable as possible these past four years and, especially, Kelly for her extraordinary compassion and kindness towards Venise. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 3 at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, MB with Father Fred Olds celebrant. Viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment to take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the parish hall.
