SERGE ADONAI THERRIEN (SHORTY) February 20, 1923 - April 26, 2010 Serge Adonai Therrien has passed away. He was predeceased by his father Adeodat Ephrem Therrien, his mother Irene Alice (nee Fraser), and his brother Gerard Dollard. Serge was born in St. Alphonse MB and raised in nearby Mariapolis. His career as a baker and cook began when he left Mariapolis to apprentice as a baker in Pine Falls, MB. Serge worked in too many places to mention. He owned the bakery in Rossburn, MB from 1955 to 1960. From 1966 to 1977 he owned the Therrien Lunch Bar in McCullough Drugs at Tache and Marion in St. Boniface. Serge had an active social life and had fond memories of sharing a rooming house on Edmonton Street in Winnipeg, with six lady friends during the Second World War. Taking the Moonlight Express to Grand Beach was another cherished memory. Cremation has taken place. Serge will be buried with his parents in Mariapolis, MB.
