KEN MAXIM It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. After a courageous battle with ALS and with his family by his side, Ken was called to heaven by God, on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 37 years Deborah, children Leslie (Chad), Carli and his favourite Krystle. Ken is also survived by his mother Eileen, big brother Don, baby sister Lori (Gord), his nieces and nephews, Kelley, D.J., Steven, Bailey and all his wonderful friends that stood by his side. Ken was predeceased by his father John. Everyone will always remember Ken for his wit, charm, friendship, sense of humour and always being there to lend a hand with anything. Ken's greatest passions were making his beer, wine and woodworking projects. We are blessed to have had this special person touch our lives and will miss him dearly. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support. A special thank you to the very caring staff at the Health Sciences Centre, MICU and the ALS Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba, Room N108-2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3J 0L3.
