SCOTT HARRISON On Thursday, April 22, 2010, the family of Scott Harrison is saddened to say that Scott lost his short but hard fought battle with multiple myeloma at the age of 63. Scott leaves to mourn his passing his mother Alice, his sisters Brenda (Ray) and Maureen, his nephews Robert (Teresa) and their children Helena and Margaret, David (Lori), Sean and Troy as well as several other close relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father William and his sisters Stacia and Laurie. Scott graduated from the University of Manitoba and worked at the Freshwater Institute as a biologist up until his retirement at age 50. He enjoyed travelling to England, New Zealand, Hawaii and all across Canada. He loved nature, he enjoyed camping and canoeing as well as summers at the cottage. He was a kind and generous man and he lived his life with humour, honesty and integrity. The only comfort we have is knowing that he will be reunited with his loved ones as well as with his beloved dog Tiny and cat Mick. Scott's family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the 4th and 7th floors of the Health Sciences Centre who took such wonderful care of Scott, with special thanks going to Dr. A. Warkty and Dr. C. Wiebe for their exemplary care, kindness and consideration with Scott and the entire family. As per Scott's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. His ashes will be interred in the family plot in St. Vital Cemetery at a later date. Donations gratefully accepted and can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3 or to a charity of your choice. Until we meet again, we love you Scott.
