CLARENCE EDWARD (SONNY) GUNDERSON 1933 - 2010 It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our brother Sonny on April 28, 2010 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital. Left to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters Lloyd (Pat), Donald (Sissel), Dennis (Judy) and Murray; sisters Donna (Ron) Cayer and Carol (Ron) Bolin; and sisters-in-law Linda and Bev. Sonny was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Laura; sister Esther and brother-in-law Victor Erickson; and brothers Carter and Raye. Sonny was born in Vita, MB on March 14, 1933. He grew up on the family farm in Piney and loved cutting pulp wood and putting up hay. Sonny loved to dance to old time fiddle music. No lady sat around when Sonny was there. He was later employed at the Sprague Board Plant, then Mulder Bros., then Abex Industries in Selkirk where he eventually retired. Sonny was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Over 60 Club. A Celebration of Sonny's Life will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk on Wednesday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to the staff at Betel Home for their care of Sonny also to Dr. Demsas and Dr. Zoppa.
