TRUDELL September 1, 1932 - April 27, 2010 Peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Sunny Wood Manor in Pine Falls, Elie passed away with his family at his bedside. Elie was born in the R.M. of Lorne and lived in South Junction before moving to Powerview. He was predeceased by his parents Omar and Leah Trudell, his son Billy, his brother Norman and sister Yvonne McTavish. He is survived by his loving wife, Dess of 57 years, his children and their families: Dianna (Gilles) Guertin, Janice (Robbie) Oakes, Gail (Adrian) Farmer and his son Tim Trudell, his sister Roma Chagnon, and many relatives. Elie was a proud and loving grandpa of seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was involved in his community and served as Councillor and Mayor of Powerview for many years; he retired from Abitibi-Price/Pine Falls Paper Co after 36 years. He was our Mr. Fix It. He enjoyed his boat and fishing, and took great pride in his home and yard. He made many lasting friendships and will be missed. Following Elie's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pine Falls Legion. The family wishes to thank the medical and hospital staff for the loving and compassionate care he received at Sunny Wood Manor Personal Care Home. We gratefully appreciate the kindness and support shown during his time there, especially his final days.
