Sister and brothers-in-law Arlette Hebert, Louis (Laura) Cormier, Leroy (Liliane) Cormier, Harvey (Shirley) Cormier, John (Linda) Cinq-Mars and extended family and friends. Mom was born and raised in La Broquerie on the family farm. She moved to St. Boniface in 1949 and first worked at L'hospice Taché. She and Dad married on June 19, 1950 and Mom became the loving and devoted housewife and mother. Mom was strong willed and the pillar of strength of our family; a loving and supportive wife and mother. Mom had strong family values and enjoyed visiting our families here and abroad. She truly cherished and loved her grandchildren and always dropped everything to spend time with them. She enjoyed camping, travelling and her focus and devotion was her family. She volunteered and was involved in her church, Précieux-Sang Women's group, Scouts et les Guides du Canada, League for Life to name a few. Mom loved to play cards and she loved to go on her gambling trips with her sisters and friends. Although Mom had various health issues throughout her life, she lived it to the fullest. Mom truly enjoyed recently celebrating her 80th birthday with family and friends. In these past few years it has been a difficult journey for Mom and Dad with all the changes in their lives. Our family would like to thank all our family and friends for all their love and support especially in the past three years. We also would like to thank the incredible staff of Home Care, at the St. Boniface Hospital, Misericordia Health Centre Interim Care. We would like to give special thanks for the compassion, support and devoted care given by Carmel, Jennifer, Marie, Marjolaine, Dr. Mehta and all the staff on 4 DE at Taché Centre. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. in Précieux-Sang Church, 200 Kenny Street with a viewing one half hour prior to the service followed by a gathering in the hall.
