Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL KRAWETZ Peacefully, on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Vita Hospital and District Health Centre, Mike Krawetz passed away at the age of 89 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Denise of 65 years of marriage, their children: Gerald (Lillian), Shirley (Bill) Kozak; of Hadashville, MB, Ron (Monika Lehmann), Valerie (Donald) Revet; of Antler, Saskatchewan, Connie (Lawrence) Katcher, grandchildren: Claudette (Hubert) Girard, Andrea (Jon) Goertzen, Jeffrey (Caroline) Krawetz, Kyle Kozak, Jason Krawetz (Shantell), Tyrone Krawetz (Shannon), Shannon Krawetz, Kelly (Brock) Taylor, Troy (Brenda) Revet; Saskatchewan, Aaron Krawetz (Michelle), James Bond, and 13 great-grandchildren. Mike was predeceased by his granddaughter Kimberly Revet, Antler, Sask, his brothers Dymitro and John and sisters Mary and Ann. Dad was born and raised in Medika, MB, son of Joseph and Catherine Krawetz the youngest of five children. Mike left the family farm and moved to Flin Flon, MB to work in the mines. Here he met his future wife Denise. Together they moved to Winnipeg where they were married and began their life. In Winnipeg Dad worked for Canada Packers as a meat processor, a job he truly enjoyed. After a few years Dad and Mom returned to Medika to take over the family farm. With farming Dad was employed with Manitoba Forestry as a road maintenance construction worker for 26 years until retirement. Dad's interests were furniture carpentry, quilting with Mom, and enjoyed gardening, picking blueberries and mushrooms. Both Mike and Denise were blessed with travelling and sharing time with family and friends. Country living was in his soul and shared this passion with his family. The door was always open and all were welcome. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will follow at the Birch River Cemetery, Medika, Manitoba. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the interment at Prawda Hall, Prawda, Manitoba. The family would like to express their thanks to the individual staff of Bethesda Hospital Rehab Unit that gave our father true and loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Michael to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation. Glen Lawn Funeral Home 982-7550
