ELSIE BARBARA STIELER (nee WAGNER) It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Elsie, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on April 15, 2010 at the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, at the age of 93 years. Elsie is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert Stephen of Calgary; daughter-in-law Phyllis Stieler; grandchildren: Christopher (Heidi), Grant (Tracy), Glenn, Rob, Colin (Monica) and Darryl (Jen); great-grandchildren, Bailey, Brooklyn, Noah and Sophie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John; her son Ernie; brothers, Charlie and John; sisters, Millie and Dorothy. Elsie lived in Winnipeg for 90 Of her 93 years when she moved to Calgary to live with her daughter. She enjoyed life: bowling, walking, baking, travelling and especially those weekly family dinners. She loved visits from her children and grandchildren. Music was always her passion and even in her later years she could be frequently found singing her favourite hymns. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all her caregivers at the Beverly Centre, Lake Midnapore and the Rockyview General Hospital for their kind and wonderful care. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg at Peace Lutheran Church, 350 Gilmore Avenue, 668-1132, on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service to follow at the Brookside Cemetery. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made in Elsie's memory to The Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 350 Gilmore Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2G 2B7.
