IONE (ONEY) DEWAR We are sad to announce the passing of Oney on April 24, 2010 after undergoing emergency surgery. She had been fighting a courageous battle with cancer over the past several years. Oney was born on August 2, 1920 in Selkirk, Manitoba where she lived most of her life. She moved to Winnipeg in 1994. Oney worked for the R.M. of St. Clements for 44 years until she retired in 1985. She was a long time member of the Eastern Star. Oney was a generous, loving person who enjoyed travel, the theater, and music. She was an active and interested member of our family. She will be missed. Oney leaves to mourn her nephew, Rick (Pat), Andy (Brenda), Chris, Richard, Ellma McMillan, her sister-in-law, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. At Oney's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
