ADA DOREEN YAROSLOSKI
Date of Passing: Apr 30, 2010
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADA DOREEN YAROSLOSKI Ada Doreen (Illman) (Yarrow) Yarosloski, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on April 30, 2010, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her loving husband John, with whom she founded the Yarrow Sash Door Co. in 1948; as well as brothers, Harold and Everett; and sisters, Mae, Norma and Laura, all in Ontario. She leaves to mourn her son Rev Bruce Illman (Yarosloski) Yarrow, BA., BEd, (Judy); daughters, Loralyn Mae (Yarrow) Bergen (Bill) and Carolyn Margaret (Yarrow) Tiemstra, BA (Charles); grandchildren, Katherine and Karen, Canaan and Thaddeus; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jamie, Kyra (Ryan and Tyler) and Rainier. Mother's first job in Winnipeg was with Kelekis's and she worked at both locations, until she was needed in the newly begun family business, running the Office, between puttying windows. John glazed, brother Walter ran the mill with the staff, and son Bruce worked everywhere, later mostly as truck driver, until entering Teaching in 1964. After Dad's death, Mother continued to run the business with the support of Bruce until she sold it in 1989. In retirement, she travelled broadly, at times with her daughters, remodelled her home in Garden City and gardened. She attended whichever churches son Bruce attended and ministered in, the last, and most attended over the span of 45 years, was the Japanese Alliance Church where she had many friends her age. She also was active for several years in the senior's club at the Christ Lutheran Church. The family cottage at Falcon Lake was the focal point for the whole family, from when we began to build it in 1956, until it was sold at the time she sold her house, to move into a Senior's apartment. When her health declined, she happily moved to Amber Meadows, until further health issues required the closer care of Middlechurch, where she remained until her passing into glory. Many thanks to the dedicated staff there, who daily cared for Mother so lovingly. A viewing service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. The burial service will take place at Brookside Cemetery on Wednesday, May 5, leaving from Friends Funeral Service at 1:30 p.m. This will be followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service chapel. Those wishing to donate in her memory may give to Forward House Ministries or to the DR Connection (Haiti and Dominican Republic).
