Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS ELSIE MCDONALD May 2, 1932 - May 1, 2010 Gladys passed away peacefully, on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Betel Home in Gimli, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers and two sisters and leaves to mourn two sons, Johnny and Kingsley, their dad Adam; sisters, Hazel (Steve), Lulubell, and Anna (Lorne); brother Phillip (Cora); grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also leaves her special love for niece April (James) and nephews Bud and Scotty. Gladys was born in Big Black River, moving to Winnipeg where she lived for 11 years working in a sewing factory. She moved back to Berens River in 1978 where she lived for 21 years, then moving to Riverton where she resided for ten years. On October 2010 she moved into the Betel Home in Gimli where she lived until her death. Gladys has been to Niagara Falls, Banff, many casino trips and spent many hours as Anna's navigator on their daily travels. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Betel Home for the care given to Gladys. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverton-Fellowship Circle Church with burial to follow in the Riverton Cemetery.
