RAYMOND ROBERT CRAIG 1934 - 2010 Peacefully, at the Health Sciences Centre, on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, Raymond Robert Craig, aged 76 years. Born March 13, 1934, Raymond resided in the Weston district of the city. Raymond was one of eight children born to Winifred and James Craig. Raymond was educated at Cecil Rhodes School. As a youngster, he attended Sparling United Church. He was employed at Alex Margulis Wholesale Distributors and Core-Mark Wholesale Distributors, retiring from Core-Mark in 1992. He enjoyed listening to his radio, especially stations CFRY, Portage la Prairie and CFAM, Altona. He also enjoyed listening to sports - hockey and football. Raymond was predeceased by both parents, Winifred and James Craig, one sister, Shirley Winnifred, two brothers, James William and Donald Alexander, his grandparents, Alexander and Jane Craig and Caroline and William Steinbart, several aunts and cousins. Raymond is survived by three brothers, Reginald Richard, Gary David, both of Winnipeg, and Gordon Kenneth of Calgary, Alberta, one sister, Linda Carol Lamont, brother-in-law Tom, sister-in-law Joan Craig, five nephews, Randy James Craig, Douglas Howard Craig, Jeffrey Blair Craig, Mark Thomas Lamont, Neil William Lamont, great-nephew Duncan Craig Lamont and great-niece Heather Shirley Lamont. We would like to give thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Seven Oaks General Hospital and Health Sciences Centre and Home care workers to Raymond in his difficult time and long illness. Also for support given to the family during this strenuous time. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Manitoba or to a charity of one's choice. Viewing will be held at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Thomson Funeral Home.
