Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELIZABETH ANNE LENTZ (nee DUNN) February 26, 1940 ~ May 4, 2010 Sadly we announce the passing of our much loved Mom, Mama and Grandma. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Lentz and her parents, Baden and Agatha Dunn. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory, her daughter Carla (Rick) Charles, Chelsie (Matt Adam ) Charles, Andrew Charles, Jenelle Charles; son Troy Lentz, Edward Lentz, Katelynne Lentz, Alaina Cameron; and son, Ryan Lentz (Tamara Fraser); sister Myrna (Ken) Mills, nieces Megan (Sterling Land) Mills and Alanna Mills. She was recently blessed with the birth of her first great-granddaughter, Madelynn Elizabeth Adam. She will also live on in the hearts of many close extended family members and friends she thought of as family. Mom had a passion for music and expressed this through her many years singing in the choir and playing piano at the Transcona Memorial United Church. Her alter ego Sister Liz emerged many years later when she proudly joined the Sisters of the Holy Rock. In keeping with mom's wishes, a personal and private service along with cremation has taken place. She was a wonderful woman and will be missed by us all.

You sang at our wedding ... I would love to be in touch with Myrna, a dear friend. - Posted by: Valerie (Pitura) Frederick (Friend of Myrna and ‘Betsy’) on: May 10, 2021

All of us who grew up with Betsy know what a kind caring person she was. She was one of the originators of the ongoing Transcona Collegiate reunion dinners. We all owe her a big debt for allowing us to keep in touch with friends and schoolmates from Transcona, over the years. I hope we can memorialize her contributions to our town and school by establishing a BETSY DUNN LENTZ MEMORIAL PRIZE for a TCI grad who has contributed to the spirit of the school.
