BRENT RANDALL HARRISON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Randall Harrison on May 5, 2010 after a brave, and lengthy battle with melanoma. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen, of 20 years, and his sons CJ and Chad. He is also survived by his mother Marge and sisters Noreen and Lois, in-laws John and Helen Costello, brother-in-law Terry, sister and brother-in-law Maureen and Randy Purdy, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Brent was predeceased by his father Charlie. Brent was employed by Canada Safeway for 35 years and built lasting friendships throughout his career. He was always busy and undertaking numerous projects. He was very mechanically inclined and always had the vision to see the finished projects, a gift he wanted to pass on to his boys. He rose to the challenge and was very successful in everything he did. Brent's sons were the soul of his existence. He taught them to have strong morals and values and always encouraged them to live their dream. He spent countless hours with them as a coach and mentor and supported their hockey, a game of their choice and passion. All of us are very proud to have had him in our lives. There are no words that can explain the void his passing has created. We all loved him so very much. Thank you Brent for everything you did. You truly were the leader of our pack. A celebration of Brent's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). As per Brent's wishes cremation has taken place. In the hope that a cure may be found, donations in Brent's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Melanoma Unit, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 would be greatly appreciated. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I worked at Safeway with Brent's wife Eileen. I met Brent a number of times and he struck me as a really genuine guy. It's rare to meet someone like Brent, as I haven't worked at Safeway in a long time but remember him well. My condolences to Eileen and their kids and all the family.
