Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT YZER February 2, 1944 - May 3, 2010 With deep sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of Albert on Monday, May 3, 2010 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 66 with his family by his side. Al will be lovingly remembered by Patricia, his wife of 35 years; his son Scott; his brother Hans (Lynne); his brother-in-law Ken (Jean); his nieces, Hallie, Karen and family, cousins, relatives in the Netherlands; and many good friends and neighbours. Al was predeceased by his parents, Hermannus and Hilda; stepfather Harm; and brothers, Hemmo and Rudy. Albert or Al to his friends, was born in Kolhorn, a small town in the Netherlands. In 1957, Al moved to Canada at the age of 13 and lived in Niverville and Dominion City before settling in Winnipeg. Here is where he met his wife and worked many years as a well respected RV technician. Al enjoyed helping people through his work and was always there to lend a hand. In his spare time he enjoyed experimenting with new dishes for Sunday meals, working in his garden and watching sports on TV. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes and at Al's request, no formal service will be held at this time. Our thanks to all the doctors and nurses at CancerCare Manitoba and at palliative care at St. Boniface General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made there. You were taken from us much to soon; you will be in our hearts forever. Rest in peace Al. With all our love, Pat and Scott.
