Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAROLD CADAGON DRISCOLL Peacefully at his home in Teulon on May 6, 2010 Harold Driscoll passed into the arms of his Lord and Saviour at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Christina, of 55 years marriage, his eight children: Ruby (Kelly) of Eriksdale, Margaret (Art) of Warren, Sandra (Jim) of Petersfield, Sheila (Andy) of Stony Mountain, Alvin (Tracey) of Inwood, Wilbert (Leeann) of Regina Beach SK, Junie of Teulon, Jenny (Ed) of Sanford; 30 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister Joyce (Elmer) of Portage la Prairie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Harold was born September 9, 1918 at Beaver, MB in the Rural Municipality of Westbourne, the fifth child of Edward and Alice Driscoll. He received his schooling at Woodside and Lakeland School districts. In 1941 he joined the 5th Armored Core Division and saw active service overseas that fall. He served in England, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He received his discharge papers in December of 1945 after the Second World War. Harold owned and operated his farm in Lakeland District. He moved to Winnipeg in 1952 and worked the next five years for Crescent Creamery wholesale delivery to towns in the Interlake, where he met and married Christina Costello in 1954. In 1956 they purchased a farm in the rural municipality of Eriksdale where they farmed for 33 years. Retiring from farming to their new home in Teulon, MB in 1990. Harold enjoyed fishing with his children, grandchildren and brother-in-law, Elmer Kirschman. Cherished memories have been made around many fishing trips. The family would like to thank the Home Care providers and staff of Teulon Hunter Memorial Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Loudon for his very special care and concern. Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. led by Pastor Henry Ozirney. Interment is to follow at Westbourne Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Harold's memory to Teulon and District Museum, Box 69, Teulon, MB R0C 3B0.
