THOR ADAM (TED) SKULASON Suddenly at the St. Boniface Hospital, Thor passed away May 4, 2010. Thor was born August 20, 1941 at Arborg, MB. He was raised on the family farm Fogruhlid at Geysir, MB. He is predeceased by his parents Jonas (1959) and Hrund (2010) as well as his sister and brother-in-law Sigrun and Jack Jonasson, his sister Gudrun McInnis. He is survived by his daughters and grandchildren: Laura Drover (Calvin), Freyja; Andrea Skulason (Peter Boileau), Sophie and Emma; Maggie Noble (Todd), Brynn, Oliver and Mark (Montgomery); Heather Skulason, Claudia and their mother Edwina Schwindt (Ken). Also left to mourn his memory is his sister Kris Laxdal (John) and brother Herman Skulason (Elsie) and their families as well as Lillian Skulason, Gordon McInnis (Freda) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be fondly remembered by several other family members, friends and coworkers, especially those at H R Block. At the age of 20 Dad moved to Winnipeg with his mother where he started a family and entered into the profession of Registered Industrial Accountant and later Certified Management Accountant. He worked for several years for Ford Motor Company and most recently for the past 20 years at H R Block as a Master Tax Specialist. He dearly loved his family, work and travel. He was well known for being quick-witted, very intelligent, humble and extremely generous. The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the valiant efforts and kindness demonstrated to our father at his time of need and to the staff at the St. Boniface Bergen Cardiac Care Centre. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Ardal-Geysir Evangelical Lutheran Church in Arborg followed by interment at Geysir Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
