Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLEY JOAN MCCALL (nee CARTER) December, 1949 - May 3, 2010 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Lesley McCall, May 3, 2010 after a very courageous battle with cancer. Lesley grew up in Winnipeg, active in sports throughout her school years, being named Athlete of the Year while attending Vincent Massey High School. She married John McCall Jr. in the year 1972. Their daughter Megan was born 1975 and son Lindsey 1976. The family business took them to Fairbanks, Alaska for several years during their early years of marriage. Lesley and John maintained a home in Fort Garry and were happy to return when the work was completed in Alaska. In recent years Lesley established an additional family home in Calgary. Her two children are employed in that city. Lesley also found employment there and made her usual contribution to the family well being. Lesley was predeceased by her mother Joan Carter 1998 and her father-in-law John R. McCall 2008. She is survived by her husband John L. McCall, daughter Megan McCall, and son Lindsey McCall, her father Stan Carter, brother Keith (Eileen), sisters Sandra Carter, Jean (Rick Riess), Elaine (Bill Black), her mother-in-law Phyllis McCall, sister-in-law Mary-Lynne (Elliot Klein), seven nieces and four nephews. Our thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Clinic in Calgary for their care of Lesley during the past 14 months. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society in Lesley's name or a charity of your choice. A gathering of family and friends celebrating Lesley's life and honouring her memory will take place Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Anglican Church, Canmore, Alberta. We can cherish Lesley's memory and share the happiness of tomorrow because of her contributions of the yesterdays.
