ADOLPH SADER Peacefully, on May 7, 2010, with family by his side, Adolph Sader passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 83. Adolph will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lydia, his daughter Susan, his adopted son Phil, his sister Wanda of Alberta, his sister-in-law Simone, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews in Canada and Germany. He was predeceased by his son Christopher James; parents Julius and Leokadia; his brothers Gustav, Rudolph and Edward; and his sister Olga. Adolph was born in Poland in 1927, the youngest of six children. He came to Canada in 1949 at the age of 22, and lived in several Manitoba towns before settling in Winnipeg. He met his wife, Lydia, while working at the Manitoba Sanitorium in Ninette, and they married in 1956. Adolph worked as a farmhand, a baker, a kitchen aide and eventually took his training to be a nursing orderly, working at the Health Sciences Centre for over 30 years. Upon his retirement, Adolph loved to spend time outdoors, enjoying nature and his favourite pastime, fishing. He also loved watching television shows and movies about animals, going for long drives, and John Wayne westerns. Cremation will take place. A memorial service, officiated by Reverend Canon Henry Falconer, will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 256 Smith St. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Grace Hospital's Emergency Dept and ICU. Your compassionate and respectful treatment of dad were appreciated. Also special thanks to Father Henry for his support and caring during this difficult time.
