MARTIN SHYMCO Peacefully, on Sunday, May 9, 2010, Martin Shymco passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 88 years. He was predeceased by his wife Ines, son-in-law Mike, sister Pearl and parents Fred and Anne Shymko. Martin will be deeply missed by his daughter Shirley, grandchildren Duane and Joanne, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, brothers George (Mary), Frank (Anne), as well as many nieces and nephews. After farming for many years in NewBridge, Martin and Ines moved to Winnipeg where Martin was employed at Modern Dairies until his retirement. During his retirement Martin enjoyed traveling, fishing and the fellowship of the Men's Club at Grey Street United Church. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Maples Personal Care Home and Dr. Patel for their loving care over the past three years and also the nursing staff at Seven Oaks Hospital. Prayers will take place on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 11:30 a.m., also at Green Acres, with Rev. Bonita Garrett presiding, with reception to follow. Interment to follow in Greenridge Cemetery, Greenridge, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
