RENE ALBERT MENDLA February 8, 1964 - May 2, 2010 It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rene on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Remaining to forever cherish Rene's memory are his parents, Al and Matilda Thibert; Uncles and Aunts, George, Lloyd and Odile, Ray and Marianne; Mrs. Hall and families; friend, Torshita and also numerous cousins and friends. Rene was a kind, generous person with a great sense of humour and was always willing to help a friend. He enjoyed playing pool, cribbage and watching movies. On Friday, May 14, 2010 a Celebration of Rene's Life will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue at 10:30 a.m. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to express their thanks to the Winnipeg Police Service and the Paramedic Service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
