Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNESTOR (WARNESS) WYCHNENKA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear beloved brother Nestor at Burnaby General Hospital in British Columbia on April 14 (a.m.), 2010 at the age of 69. He is the son of Bill and Stella Wychnenka of Pansy, MB. He is survived by one son Brian, dear friend Mrs. Mickey McKenzie, brothers Eddie, Ernie, Ronald (Jeannie), Dennis, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Livia and his parents Bill and Stella Wychnenka. Nestor was born in Pansy, attended Barkfield School and Sarto School. He helped on the farm and then went to work at the bush camps. He then moved to Winnipeg to work in construction and at Kowan Steel Co. He also drove truck for Midland Fruit Co. After that, in the late 1960s, he moved to British Columbia and got a job with Hooper Transport where he hauled supplies to the logging camps. He met and married Irene Johnson. Their son Brian was born a year later. His favourite foods were Ukrainian borscht, spinach and clam chowder. He enjoyed baseball, karaoke and bingo at the Legion. His spare time was mostly spent at the Legion where he was a full fledged member for many years. Cremation has taken place in British Columbia. Services will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church at Sarto on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. followed by ash interment at the parish cemetery.
