Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANIS PEACOCK (JENNINGS) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Janis Peacock (Jennings) (nee Tinck). Janis passed on May 13, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre after a long and courageous battle with Crohn's Disease. She was predeceased by her mother Gene Tinck, her father Russell Tinck, her husband Iain Peacock. She leaves to mourn, her two sons Craig (Sandra) and Scott (Jackie) Peacock, her sisters Marion (Ed) Verrier from Calgary, Noreen (Gary) Brock, and her favourite brother Keith Tinck. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and her childhood friends Donna and Bill Shklanka, and Justin (Tracy) Scheffer whom she adored like her own son. Janis will especially be missed by her sister and best friend Noreen. Janis was born in Winnipeg on August 7, 1947. She later met her husband/soul mate Iain Peacock. They were married on April 4, 1968. She worked in the airline industry for 30 years. Her passions included bothering her sons for grandchildren and leaving extended phone messages. In her free time she enjoyed travelling the world, gardening, and visiting the casino. Janis lived her entire life in her home on Mapleglen Avenue where she enjoyed spending time with her family and entertaining many friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. J. E. Walli who gave her extra time to spend with her family and friends. We would also like to thank all the nurses from GD3 and GD4 who gave her special care at the Health Sciences Centre. In keeping with Janis' wishes she will be cremated and reunited with Iain at Brookside Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Tuesday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. where friends and family are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

I was so sorry to hear of Jan's passing. My thoughts go out to Noreen and family. I knew Jan for quite a few years now from the casino. I always enjoyed talking to her and I am so sorry that she had to leave so young. I will think of her often. - Posted by: Julie Cowie (Friend) on: May 20, 2010
