ANTOINETTE (TONI) MASNYK It is with heavy hearts, we announce Toni's peaceful passing on May 10, 2010 at the age of 72 after her courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her illness, she knew and felt the love of her family and loving partner. Toni leaves her best friend and companion of 22 years, Peter Harder. She often said she didn't know what she would have done without him during their years together. She enjoyed the daily walks with Peter, the road trips and most of all the love and companionship they shared. She also leaves behind her loving brother and sisters; Ross (Rose), Anne Didora (John), Helen Chimuk (Art) and Rose, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins to cherish her memory. Toni was predeceased by both parents; Pauline and Michael, older brothers William, Steve and sister Tilly. Toni was born in St. Norbert and lived in Winnipeg the majority of her life. Toni was very close to her family and enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews grow to marry and start their own families. Her great sense of humour allowed her to laugh at herself as the occasion arose. Our lives will never be the same without her. Toni lived her life with great strength, acceptance and love. We would like to thank her for adding so much to our lives. Peter and the family would like to thank Dr. Dwayne Hartley and wonderful staff at the Grace Hospital who cared for Toni. At Toni's request, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will happen at a later date. We, the family, would like to thank Peter for always being there and helping Toni enjoy the wonderful life she shared with us all. Rest in peace, Antoinette, till we meet again!
