CLARENCE DANIEL KIRKNESS June 11, 1925 - May 12, 2010 Peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, brother, Clarence Kirkness of Fisher River Cree Nation on May 12, 2010 at the Fisher River Personal Care Home. Clarence leaves to mourn his wife of 53 years, Susan, daughter Emily (Arnold) Murdock, grandsons Stan, Lance; son Lionel (Fred) (Wendy) Rundle, sisters Verna, Maryanne, Darlene (George), brother-in-law Andrew and numerous nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Olive Kirkness, stepmom Gladys, sisters Maria, Margaret, Ida, brother Reggie, mother and father-in-law Stanley and Margaret Jane Murdock, in-laws Mary and Leonard Kirkness, nieces Louise, Rose, Olive, sister-in-law Daisy Murdock, nephew David Poerschko. Special thanks to all the staff at Fisher River Personal Care Home for all their care and support to Dad. Thank you also to the Fisher River Cree Nation Chief and Council, to all who came and supported us. Wake Service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Both services will be at Fisher River Community Hall.
