I first met Victor attending Selkirk Collegiate High, Selkirk Manitoba, in 1964. We became friends at that time and our friendship continued for decades. He was older than me in years and maturity. Victor had a tremendous influence on me in the way he introduced me to great literature and to his progressive political views. I loved the way he satirized his early Catholic upbringing. He had a sharp wit, a great sense of humour and a fine mind. However, I know what a deeply troubled man he was and I empathized. Goodbye good friend. Too bad I found out about his passing so late. Too late to say goodbye to him while he was still here. - Posted by: James Kostelniuk (Friend) on: Jul 05, 2018
