WAYNE NORMAN KOLYBABI December 19, 1951 - April 30, 2010 Unexpectedly on April 30, Wayne passed away after a valiant three day struggle. Wayne will be sadly missed by his wife Darlene (Deanie) Kolybabi nee Weitzel - whom he adored - daughters, Kristin and Karis and step-children, Jill McLean and Shane Woloshyn (of BC), as well as brothers, Gerry and Lawrence and their families. Wayne was predeceased by his mother and father who raised him in Transcona. Recently, Wayne and his wife had moved to his beloved White Rock, BC, where he reconnected with many good friends from his past and made many new friends. Together they enjoyed the west coast sunshine, the ocean which he loved, and shared many memories of old Winnipeg and old Transcona (for which Wayne had an extraordinary memory of details). Wayne will always be remembered for his gentle spirit, his easy laughter and his generous nature. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the staff at Royal Columbian Hospital in BC, who provided unforgettable sensitive and exceptional care during his brief hospital stay. The family wishes to invite all friends, colleagues and family to join them in a Celebration of Life Open House to take place on Sunday, May 16 at the Masonic Memorial Temple (at confusion corner of Donald Street, Osborne and Corydon) from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please bring with you your pictures, stories and memories of Wayne to share over refreshments with Deanie and his family and friends.
