MARTHA KAYER (nee RELKE) On Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Misericordia Hospital, Martha Kayer, widow of the late Stanley Kayer, passed away at the age of 94 years. Martha was born in Rockwood, Manitoba, April 13, 1916. At age four, Martha came to Winnipeg with her parents and the other members of her family where she resided the rest of her life. Martha met and married Stanley in 1939; a marriage that lasted 57 years. Martha was predeceased by her beloved husband Stanley, December 7, 1996; also her parents, George Adam Relke and Catherine Relke; sisters, Anne, Emily and Susana; brothers, Adam, Jack and Eddie; also baby son William Edward that died in infancy. Martha is survived by sons, Ken (Brenda) and Brian (Linda); grandchildren, Joel, Paul and Michael; adopted grandson Joe Lewis; great- granddaughter Abigail and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha's family came first in her life; her garden in the summer was her great pride and joy. A private service was held.
