CHARLES (CHUCK) ARTHUR ASHER June 6, 1928 May 14, 2010 Peacefully, with family by his side, Chuck passed away in the early morning of May 14, 2010 at the Selkirk General Hospital. He leaves behind his love - his wife of 47 years Fran, and is remembered with pride by his children: Kirby (Carrie), Korey (Amanda), Kiley (Tammy); grandchildren, Ashley, Trent, Cally and Madyson; sisters, Marie (Edward), Dora; brothers-in-law, Norm and Bob; sister-in-law June and many nieces and nephews. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Marie and Charles; brothers, Alfred and Herbert; sister Louise (Adam); and brother-in-law Doug. Although lovingly remembered as Uncle Chuck to most, all remember his work ethic, integrity and good nature. In keeping with Chuck's wish, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Winnipeg Beach United Church, 36 Murray Avenue, Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba with Minister Beth McLean officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Family would like to thank the staff at Selkirk General Hospital for their excellent care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
