EUGENIA JEAN MACTIER (nee KUBISHYN) It is with great sadness that I, her husband, Kelvin Mactier announce the peaceful passing of Eugenia Jean Mactier on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 94 years. Jean was predeceased by her parents Marcia and Michael Kubishyn and her brothers Walter and Peter. Jean will be lovingly remembered by many, she made friends easily. Jean was born in Winnipeg and later returned to her family's home in Arborg, Manitoba. In her youth she worked in the laundry at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Jean then became a Dental Assistant and being fluent in Ukrainian made her very much in demand in the early years being able to translate the language at the chair . She spent all of the rest of her working career in dental offices in Winnipeg. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
