HELEN OLSON (nee JOHNSON) Peacefully in her sleep, Helen passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home at the age of 91. Helen was born in Erickson, MB on March 2, 1919 to Nils and Nellie Johnson. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Henry whom she spent 68 wonderful years with, her son Floyd (Peggy) Olson, her daughters Lynnette (Robert) Bruneau and Lorise (Dale) Gilchrist, her grandchildren Kim (Jim) Coady, Kerry (Jeff) Trager, Calvin (Shannon) Bruneau, Bobbie (Gerald) Pelland, Sara (Barett) Gilchrist, Keira (Steve) Gilchrist, Leah Gilchrist and 11 great-grandchildren. Mom was dedicated to Dad and us. Our family gatherings were some of the best times in her life and ours. We laughed a lot with Mom and quite often at Mom, which was okay with her. Even though Mom suffered dementia, she kept her sense of humour until the end. Mom was predeceased by her parents Nils and Nellie, her sister and brother in-law Evelyn and Jim Stewart, two brothers at birth, her daughter in-law Linda, many aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. We would like to thank the outstanding staff of the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care home for the excellent care you have given our Mom over the past almost two years. A small service was held on Wednesday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m. at the care home.
