REGINALD FRANK BUTLER January 30, 1917 - May 19, 2010 Sadly, with his family by his side, we announce the passing of Reg Butler on May 19, 2010 at Carman Memorial Hospital. Reg was predeceased by his wife, Olive Mae, on June 28, 2008. Left to cherish loving memories are: sons, Jerry (Ann) Butler, Don (Betty Ann) Butler; daughters, Linda (Dale) Butler, Valerie (Gilles) Saurette, and Mona (George) Miller. He also will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Darren (Kristi), Carmen (Brad), Kevin (Jody), Tammy (Jamie), Trevor (Tiffany), Deanne (Maurice), Jennifer (Terry), Adam (Sarah), Marc, Erin (Ryan), Curtis (Tamara), as well as great-grandchildren, Melissa, Cole, Wyatt, Jacy, Rhianna, Sutton, Samuel, Caitlin, Noah, Shaylin, Jada, Chad and Kaeley. Reg was born on January 30, 1917, on the home farm in the Wingham District. He farmed in the area for 65 years. He and Ollie were married in 1943 and raised their family in the Wingham area. Reg was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a special neighbour and friend, and will be missed by many. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elm Creek Community Hall, with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. A private family interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery following the service. Thanks to the doctors and staff at Carman Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care, and a special thanks to the Home Care staff of the Boyne Towers for their friendship and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
