JOY SCHRAM (nee Arnold) After a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother Joy Schram on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Momma grew up in Winnipeg's north end attending Luxton, St. John's Tech and Angus Business College. She married her childhood sweetheart in 1956 and moved to Edmonton, AB where they happily raised their family of five children. In 1978, Frank's work brought them back to Winnipeg where she lived a long full life. She loved to garden and spent countless hours tending her beautiful flowers. She was also very artistic and has left this world a more beautiful place with her many quilts and pictures, each stitch holds her love. Momma will be missed by many friends and neighbours especially those at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church. Joy will live forever in the hearts and memories of her husband Frank; children, Kevin Schram (Linda), Ada Bond (Mark), Erin Pachal (Gordon), John Schram, Deanna Bretecher (Michael); as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Momma brought so much love, laughter and peace to all who knew her, she truly was a Joy. There are no words to express the loss her passing brings. Heaven received a precious gift today. We would like to thank the countless doctors, nurses and support staff that have helped our family along this journey, especially those at St. Boniface Hospital, 7A West and CancerCare. Also to those very special people at Riverview for helping to make her final days as comfortable as possible. Our hearts were touched by the love and caring you shared with us all. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 28 at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, 881 Autumnwood Drive at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O. Box 2249 Winnipeg, MB R3C 4A6 or to a charity of your choice. Momma, You will be forever in our hearts. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
