He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Susan and is remembered by his children: Rachel (fiancé Joe); Chris (CJae); Ryan; granddaughter Iya; sisters; Sonja (Bob) and Sharon (Rick); brother Ivan; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Ron) and Audrey (Dale) and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Ragna, in-laws John and Betty and his son Geoffrey. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing and being around family and friends. Throughout the years, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Clandeboye Fire Department, and enjoyed volunteering at the Triple S Fair and Rodeo. Larry retired in 1996 from the post office after 26 years. For the last 14 years, Larry has worked at the fish hatchery. Larry was always a meticulous, detailed hard worker in everything he touched. In every job and task that he did, he always showed pride and perfection. In keeping with Larry's wishes, he has been cremated and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with Pastor Neill Stitt officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the Clandeboye United Cemetery. The family would like to thank for the excellent care and kindness of the staff at the MICU ward at the Health Sciences Centre. We would also like to thank friends and family for all your support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CK3 at the Children's Hospital in memory of his son, Geoffrey.
