LINDA LOUGHEED GARVEY May 4, 1940 - May 22, 2010 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Gramma, Aunt, Sister and Friend. Linda Garvey, peacefully slipped away in the early hours of Saturday, May 22. She was born to the late Stanley and Margaret Marshall on May 4, 1940 in Winnipeg. She married Gary Stewart Garvey in Regina on March 5, 1960 and they had recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Linda is survived by her husband Gary and her four children and their families: Laura (nee Garvey) and her husband, Trevor Schiml and their daughters Jessica, Emily and Kathleen; Rob Garvey and his wife, Alison and their son Aidan and their daughters, Georgia and Eryn; Sarah (nee Garvey) and her husband, Kirtus Closen and their daughters Trista and Olivia; Heather (nee Garvey) and her husband Demetri Karavas and their daughter, Sofia. A memorial service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at Westminster United Church, Maryland Avenue, Winnipeg on Saturday, the May 29 beginning at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to do so may make a donation in Linda Garvey's name to Support Neurosurgery c/o HSC Foundation .
