Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARL OSCAR NILSSON Following a valiant struggle with cancer, Oscar passed away on May 24, 2010 at the Pinawa Hospital. Oscar was born on June 30, 1931 in Piney, MB and in 1932 the family moved to Lee River, MB. In later years Oscar became the mainstay of the family, and remained on the farm in Lee River all of his life. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to his siblings and especially his parents. Oscar's work life, including the farm occupied many years with Water's Construction, followed by 20 years at Cold Spring Granite until retirement. He was an avid berry picker and gardener and took pride in his yard keeping at home. He loved dogs and varmint hunting with each he truly portrayed - A dog is a man's best friend... Oscar was predeceased by his father Sven Nilsson in 1963 and his mother Anna in 2002. He is survived by five brothers Nils, Eric (Emma), Herman (Elaine), Albert (Carol) and Harry; sisters Margit, Diane (Bill), Dagmar (Harvey), and many nieces and nephews, overall a large extended family. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Oscar's life will take place at the Pioneer Club, Lac du Bonnet, MB on Friday, May 28 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined, if so inclined donations may be made to the Pioneer Club or a Charity of one's choice.
