RONALD FREDERICK BROW Ron went to be with his Lord on May 25, 2010 after a lengthy illness, with his family at his side. He will join his beloved best friend-twin brother Don, sister June and parents Eddie and Ruby. Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 5, 1934. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elsie, brother Jim (Nicki) and sister-in-law Meryl (Ray). Children Lloyd (Christine), Lynne (Paul), Rhonda (and kids). Grandchildren Stacey (Derek), Kristina (Cameron) and Alyssa. Step-grandchildren Drew, Brett (Amanda), Daniel and Dave. Ron also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron worked in the Mining Industry on Texada Island from 1966-1977, participating in Mine Rescue Competitions, after which he joined the Ministry of Mines as an Industrial First Aid Instructor, Inspector of Mines and Mine Rescue Co-ordinator for 22 years. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. A. Kaban for his special care to Ron, Pastor Norm and nurse Anne from the Emergency Department at CDH. A Memorial Tea will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at First Memorial Funeral Home at Brae Road, Duncan, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favourite charity in Ron's name would be appreciated.
