CELINA (JACKIE) DELEAU December 25, 1934 May 22, 2010 Peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2010, with her family by her side, Jackie lost her battle with cancer. She will be missed by her husband Mike, of 54 years; and her sons and grandchildren, Bruno (Dale), Désirée and Nathaniel; Serge (Susan), Matthew, Jaimi and Luc; and Marc, Justin, Branden, Danielle and Vincent; as well as her very special friend, Cathy. Jackie was born in Belgium and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1965 with her husband and two sons. Her third son was born in Canada. Along with her immediate family and friends, Jackie will also be sadly missed by all of the relatives living in Belgium. Jackie was a private person who kept her family and friends very close to her heart. Her love was unconditional; she expected nothing in return; her enjoyment was in making sure her family was alright. Mom taught us to be compassionate and kind and she gave us the gift of laughter. These are gifts that you cannot hold or point out, but they are easy to show. We will never forget what she has done for our family. Thanks Mom, we love you. Our sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at the St. Boniface Hospital and at CancerCare Manitoba. Respecting Mom's wishes, cremation and a private gathering have already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Children's Wish Foundation.
