MARCIA JEAN SCOTT October 24, 1923 - May 24, 2010 Peacefully, at the age of 86, Marcia passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Left to mourn her passing is her sister Pat Woelke, her niece Wendy (Al) Campbell of Edmonton, Alberta, nephew Brian (Doreen) Woelke, of Nanimo, BC and brother-in-law, Ewald Kiel of Abbotsford, BC. Marcia was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Hewitt Scott, her sister, Morna Kiel, and her longtime companion, Edward Hogue. Marcia was born in Vancouver, BC, but her family moved to Winnipeg shortly after. She lived the remainder of her life in Winnipeg and was educated at Somerset School, Hugh John MacDonald and Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate. Following high school, she attended Success Business School for secretarial training. Marcia later worked as a secretary with the Bank of Nova Scotia for more than 40 years before retiring. She resided at the Westhaven seniors residence for many years, followed most recently by Parkview Place. Marcia always enjoyed shopping and socializing with friends and family. Her generous nature will be remembered by all. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service and reception will be held at the Parkview Place recreation centre, 440 Edmonton Street at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 3.
