JAKE FRIESEN Jake Friesen of Winnipeg, formerly of Brandon, passed away in his home on May 28th, 2010. He was predeceased by his wife, Eva in 2004. He is survived by seven children, Viv (Ernie) Wiebe, Les (Dolores) Friesen, Carol (Tom) Wieler, Linda (John) Sawatzky, Marv (Edith) Friesen, Pat (Al) Fuller, Janet (Daryl) Sawatzky; 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Jake was a hardworking farmer in the Hayfield district and after his retirement to Brandon, spent many hours volunteering at the Brandon MCC store. He enjoyed the friendship and community of the Vic Wyatt house over the last 10 years. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg. Viewing will be held Monday, May 31, 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrow Gospel Church and prior to the service. Burial at Mennonite Memorial Gardens.
