STANISLAWA (STELLA) PIOTROWSKI Peacefully after a lengthy illness, it is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Stella on Wednesday, May 26 2010 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 78 years. Remaining to forever cherish Stella's memory are her husband John of 58 years of marriage; children, Joe (Wanda), Jennie (Patrick), Mary (Ed); her most cherished grandchildren, Justin (Cindy, daughter Kendra) Andrew, Stefan, Stacey, Jillian, Victoria and Paul; sister Marie Kandzia as well as numerous nieces; nephews; relatives and friends. Stella was born in Radziechew Poland and lived in various countries during the War. At 19 years of age she arrived in Canada, married and made a beautiful home. Stella was employed with Health Sciences Centre where she developed lasting friendships. She had a passion for cooking and entertaining. In her retirement years Stella enjoyed travelling to many destinations in the world. She loved spending time with her family and was an inspiration to her grandchildren with their endeavors at dancing and ice sports. The Polish culture was important and always kept in our hearts. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., in Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba with an Oblate Father, presiding. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery. For those who wish, Viewing and the Rosary will be held prior to Mass at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Seven Oaks Dialysis Unit and Dr. Armstrong.
