LLOYD KENNETH (KEN) ROTH (1941 - 2010) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and friend on May 28, 2010. Left to mourn him and cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia (nee Hofford), his children Melanie (Kim Williamson), Michelle (Richard Soenen), Meredith (Bob Vaux) and Derek, his grandchildren, Gregory, Lea, Erin, Noah, Tabitha and Owen, his brother, Bill (Matilda), sister, Donalda and nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by, and now joins, his parents, Lloyd and May Belle. He loved the land and prairie summer and was a natural at farming. He was a loyal and good husband, father and friend and lived by simple but honest principles and a quiet faith. He was an enthusiastic curler, serving on the executive and then as President of the Manitoba Curling Association for a period of time, but liked nothing better than enjoying the company of family and friends and sharing a good laugh. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:25) rest now from your labours. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman Community Hall. Interment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.
