GORDON KEITH MAXON November 13, 1954 May 31, 2010 It is with heavy hearts we announce that after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Gordon Keith Maxon of Calgary, AB passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at the age of 55 years. Keith was born on November 13, 1954 in Selkirk, MB and resided in the Selkirk and Lockport area before moving to Calgary in 1996. The majority of Keith's career was in the flooring industry and his talented and keen eye always assured you of a job well done. Keith was always willing and ready to lend a helping hand to his friends, neighbours and family on big or small jobs. He enjoyed his musical friends and loved to show off his dancing crazy legs. Anything for a laugh; which was contagious. Keith leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Ray Brockest and Donna and Kerry Inkster; brothers and sisters-in-law, George and Judy Moore, Percy and Jackie Maxon and Glen and Yvonne Maxon; as well as nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Edna Maxon. A private family service will be held at St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Lockport, MB on Saturday, June 5, 2010. Flowers and donations are gratefully declined. As per Keith's wish, cremation has taken place. Keith's family invites you to join them in a celebration of Keith's life at Gaffers Restaurant, Lockport, MB on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dianne and Bruce Andrews for their love and care; to Dick and Anne Ingram and family for adopting Keith into their care. We would also like to thank Dr. Lloyd Mack for being the quarterback involved in Keith's care including the doctors and staff at the Foothills Medical Centre. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I was a member of a exclusive gang Organization in which there 4 members, Keith being the president, Howie Parks, if he was at Papa Parks house, as Keith would say Had more hair on a billiard ball Bill Sinclair and myself do Loli Pop, the youngest lol Larry Long. We would guard our choke cherry trees and wild plum trees for hours hot summer day. If we got hungry dug our way into the thorned plum trees and made a fort which inside we had a fire pit and would cook freshly hand rubbed potatoes, delish! I salute you Keith and thank you for a lot of great child memories. One of a kind, Crazy Legs, over the top for opposing football team lol he would jump and run over top of our line and there's a beat it for a touch down. Memories forever! Love ya Keith see you in the others ideas. - Posted by: Larry Long (Lockport neighbors.) on: Feb 05, 2025
